Plans and limits
What counts as a trace, monthly resets, and plan limits.

Free traces don't expire but the monthly bonus doesn't stack — use it or lose it. Pro traces reset monthly, as do Workshop traces. Tools and bins are concurrent limits: deleting one frees a slot. Cancel any time.
What counts as a trace
Each time you trace a photo, one trace is consumed. Re-editing an already-traced tool, creating bins, and exporting files do not consume traces.
Resets
Free traces are lifetime — they don't reset. Once your 10 initial traces are used, you get 1 bonus trace per calendar month (UTC). Pro and Workshop traces reset on the 1st of each month, including on annual subscriptions. Tools and bins do not reset monthly.
Tool limits
Tool limits are checked when you save tools from a trace. If you're at your limit, you'll need to delete existing tools before saving new ones. Bins don't count toward tool limits.
Upgrading and downgrading
Upgrade from the pricing page or your dashboard. Pro subscribers can upgrade to Workshop in the dashboard. Monthly subscribers can switch to monthly or annual Workshop; annual Pro subscribers can switch to annual Workshop. You'll see the charge and unused-time credit before confirming.
Both paid tiers can switch from monthly to annual billing. Annual subscriptions cannot switch to monthly mid-year. Contact support to switch from Workshop to Pro.
Cancel to Free from your dashboard; paid access continues until the end of the billing period. The Stripe customer portal manages payment methods and cancellation. Existing tools and bins are kept after cancellation or downgrade, but you cannot add more while at or over the new limit.
Bin limits
Bin limits count the bins you currently store, including bins created in projects. At your limit, delete bins you no longer need to free slots, or upgrade if a higher tier is available. Attaching an existing bin to a project does not use another slot. Nothing is deleted automatically when a plan changes.
### What happens when I hit my bin limit?
You can still use your existing bins. Delete a bin to free a slot immediately, or upgrade from Free or Pro for more room. Waiting for the next month does not free bin slots.
